Neuroscience is an interdisciplinary science drawing on developments in many other fields. It involves the study of the nervous system in all of its complexity, at the cellular, computational, evolutionary, functional, molecular, and medical levels.
Because neuroscientists consider all aspects of the nervous system, their work intersects with many other fields, including linguistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, neurobiology, chemistry, philosophy, psychology, genetics, and medicine.
